Stabilisation of filigree wing spray units helps to increase the efficiency of spraying machines for plant protection products
The innovative designer of the Wingsprayer from the Netherlands relies on ACE hydraulic dampers to make the spraying of agricultural chemicals more efficient, being gentle on the environment at the same time. They stabilize the delicate wings of the machine so that these can press the plants to be sprayed downwards slightly. The utilization of aerodynamic air currents and the effect of the air stream ensure a finer coverage of the plants with the sprayed chemical and, according to the inventor, reduce the environmental impact of the process by 99 percent.

Damping system for tractor doors
Key Dollar Cab began looking for a way to provide smooth, controlled motion when opening orchard tractor doors. They came in touch with ACE from a local distributor and worked with our team to find the perfect solution.<br />A custom HB15 damper solved this unique problem for Key Dollar Cab, they needed a damper that would provide an adjustable resistance for the opening swing of the door. The door only needed to be gently slowed at the end of the swing to prevent it from slamming open and causing damage to the tractor cab. The damper has no resistance when closing to eliminate undue stress on the operator and to allow the door to close easily and tightly.

Opening and closing mechanisms for heavy protective hoods on harvesting machines
ACE industrial gas springs prevent injuries during maintenance work on harvesting machines. The blades of corn pickers are arranged under plastic hoods, which assure proper material flow within the machine. For maintenance purposes, the hoods, weighing approx. 15 lbs, must be lifted up. Industrial gas springs GS-22 (push type) are used to protect the maintenance workers from the flaps falling down. A further advantage is the resistance under rough operating conditions due to a wear-resistant surface coating on the piston rod and the coated body.

With their function of limiting swinging movement, they secure machines when cornering and loading and provide a high degree of comfort and safety as well as securing the loaders. A further advantage is that the shovel can be loaded up to its full capacity for better performance when levelling and pushing. Small cost, large force absorption: The TUBUS bumper TC design series employed here convinces with its energy absorption in the range of 3,983 in-lbs up to 112,626 in-lbs, whereby the machine elements with diameters of between 2.52 inch and 6.93 inch are very easily integrated into construction designs.
